Retro Cowgirl is an Austin boutique with a specific and powerful identity — western spirit, contemporary style, and a personality that's instantly recognizable. In fashion retail, brand identity is the product. The content needed to not just show the clothing but communicate the feeling of the brand so clearly that the right customer feels it in their gut.
Fashion content fails when it's generic. The wrong model choice, the wrong location, the wrong color palette — any of these can make a brand feel like something it isn't. Getting it right requires creative decisions that are specific to the brand's actual identity.
The approach
We built the shoot around Retro Cowgirl's retail space and a lifestyle location that captured the outdoor, western aesthetic central to the brand. Talent selection and styling were coordinated to embody the brand's community — real people who look like they shop at Retro Cowgirl because they do.
The visual approach is warm and textural — the palette of the Texas outdoors, the warmth of leather and denim, the kind of imagery that makes a viewer want to be in the frame.
The deliverables
The campaign produced a brand film for Retro Cowgirl's website and social channels, a lookbook-style reel series for Instagram and TikTok, and a library of social cutdowns for ongoing content and seasonal campaigns. The content gave the brand a cohesive visual identity across every digital touchpoint.
